Introductions! (un-forgetting Forgotten Stories)

Once upon a time, a world was made and characters filled the world.
The happily ever after never came, as the story faded into unknown. 
Yet, instead of dying, those characters passed to a different world with a second life.
But why did they all get a chance to write their stories anew?

Overview
Forgotten Stories is a long-term game project. The game is an RPG which mixes both real time and turn based mechanics in combat. Outside of combat the player can explore a semi-open world, interact with the surroundings, and meet new people - all of these themed with the inherent idea of storytelling and creation.

Gameplay
The game will greatly focus on character interactions and dialogue, but not at the expense of gameplay mechanics. Turn based RPGs have existed for decades, but Forgotten Stories plans to reinvent the player interaction with these mechanics by giving the player the control over how the attack or buff will be executed through inputs. These include quick time events, detailed actions, or patience from the player.
Battles also have their own "themes" which gives dimension to what a "win" condition is for a player. These themes are story themes such as "Comedy", "Thriller", "Action", "Drama", and each attack and the failure of an attack will contribute to one of these themes. A reward at the end of each battle is a written up story of your fight which can be used to gain money, experience, or favours. Losing a battle will not end with a game over screen. It is the player's choice as to what their objective is to progress in each fight, and what their "win" is.

Characters
The main cast of the game will support the player throughout the gameplay and will explore themes relating to creating. Bean and Faysol are two close friends which act as a tutorial for the protagonist who just entered the world. They are complete opposites, where Bean is cheeky and excitable while Faysol is reserved and uncaring at first sight. Bean's two friends, Cally and Liz, lead a significant role with showing the depth of the world. Cally is a shy and kind, while Liz is a confrontational and honest, but together with Bean they are a force of chaos. Athru isn't familiar with the cast at the beginning as he lives in solitude, but is still extremely motivated and dedicated to whatever he puts his mind to.
